Modern Luxury Houston
Last Thursday, I was invited to attend the Modern Luxury Houston Magazine Philanthropy Issue Release. The release took place in the New River Oaks District “the Promenade in between Toulouse and Dior to be exact.” The River Oaks District is a luxurious location it is a collection of restaurants and boutiques such as Tom Ford, Cartier, Bonobos, COS, Intermix, etc. Its the ultimate retail therapy. While there, we heard the smooth sounds of Dj Lewis Grell LG he played genres from hip hop to pop and some of Houston’s own local artist like Z-ro Mo City Don freestyle. During the night, Toulouse Cafe and Bar treated us to champagne, wine, and cocktails. They also served some delicious light bites such as Little Fried Polenta Cakes topped with shortrib a wild mushroom ragu garnished with fresh chive and Lobster Tacos with mango relish, sweet chili glaze and seasoned lettuce. For dessert we had tasty Little Chocolate Mousse Shots topped with fresh raspberry and whipped cream along with marshmallow lemon tarts. The magazine also teamed up with Porsche to unveil the sleek new 2017 Porsche Panamera. The new Porsche Panamera has a 4.0 Va turbo that allows it to go o-60 in 3.9 seconds. This vehicle is the thin line between luxury and speed. This issue of Modern Luxury Houston features over twenty pages of Houston’s own local philanthropist including Texan linebacker Whitney Mercilus. Who’s business endeavors extend further than the football field. Mr. Peter said “Houston is the most philanthropic city in the United States, at least it was in 2015. We’re not yet finished seeing what the end of 2016 will bring, but I believe we will hold onto that title”. Overall I enjoyed the magazine release and look forward to the next one. I have provided pictures at the bottom for your viewing pleasure. Also if you like comment/subscribe and make sure you grab your copy of Modern Luxury Houston.
