Bar Peached

Last week, I had the pleasure of doing a tasting at Bar Peached. A bar focused restaurant that serves awesome cocktails, delicious tacos and Asian-inspired comfort food. Bar Peached is located in the beautiful historic Clarksville district near downtown Austin.

After checking in, I ordered two draft cocktails for Caress and I. She got the flavorful  Yoga & Chill consisting of vodka, lime, and cucumber water, while I stayed on the sweet side with the Cherry Pop, a cherry infused gin, lemon and maraschino. Once we were seated, we ordered Maple Roasted Carrots, a Taco Trio and Korean Chicken Wings. The carrots were cooked with cilantro chimichurri and dragon salt. Next up was the Taco Trio. The first one was a southern dry rub brisket with apple slaw and peach bbq sauce. The second one was spiced cauliflower, arugula, kewpie mayo, toasted coconut, peanuts, watermelon radish and a lime wedge. The third taco “my favorite” was a Vietnamese braised pork belly with pickled daikon carrots, sriracha mayo, and cilantro. Lastly, we had the Korean Wings covered in gochujang soy glaze and black sesame seeds. After eating we washed it all down with two more cocktails. This time Caress ordered the beautiful Kyoto Kiss a drink mixed with gin, raspberry, yuzu, shishito, and egg white. I had the classic Oaxaca’s Old Fashioned made with tequila, mezcal and bitters. For dessert, we had Birthday Cake Bingsu topped with whipped cream, mochi and sprinkles.

Overall, I had a great dining experience at Bar Peached the service was great, fast and flavorful. I even had a chance to speak to The Owner/Chef Eric Silverstein. I loved that he is so involved in the bar. He was entertaining guest, running food and drink orders. He informed me that Bar Peached is his third establishment. He also owns the Peached Tortilla and Peached Social House event space. With this being his third establishment I asked him how does he manage the time he jokingly responded no personal time. He then went on to say that he has a passion for both food and business and this is how he can combine the two. Chef Eric is also working on a book that is coming out soon. If you would like to know more about him there will be a link down below to preorder it.

So the next time you are looking for a place to eat, stop on over to Bar Peached. I promise it will not disappoint. The bar focused restaurant offers both inside and outside seating. Whether you want to sit around the bar and watch the game, enjoy the cozy dining area or chill outside and catch the vibes on the patio. Bar Peached has you covered.
